YOSEMITE VALLEY

"Yosemite Valley, to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green and golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space. " To cherish what remains of the Earth and to foster its renewal is our only legitimate hope of survival.

What makes a river so restful to people is that it doesn't have any doubt - it is sure to get where it is going, and it doesn't want to go anywhere else.

I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do.
